Inaugural Badges to Books Tour kicks off on Valentines Day.

Updated: Mar 17, 2023

The Children of Fallen Heroes organization recently hosted their Inaugural Badges and Books program in Brunswick County, North Carolina, and it was a huge success! The program aims to spread awareness about the importance of honoring fallen heroes and their families while educating the public on the significance of respecting and supporting law enforcement officers.

Thanks to the hard work of Deputy Willie McRae, Rebecca, Pam, Sheila, and the amazing team at Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School, the event was a resounding success. The children at the school had a blast, and the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office was instrumental in making it all happen.

At the heart of the Badges and Books program is a desire to encourage children to read and learn about the sacrifices that our heroes have made for our communities. By providing books to schools and organizations, the program helps to promote a culture of respect and honor for our fallen heroes and their families.

The program also offers a unique opportunity for law enforcement officers to engage with children and educate them on the importance of their work in keeping our communities safe. By reading to the children and entertaining them with stories and activities, the officers build positive relationships with the community that they serve.

One of the highlights of the event was the Children's Book Lover Badge, which celebrates the joy of reading and sharing the magic of books with the little ones. The badge is a symbol of the importance of promoting literacy and encouraging children to explore the world of books.

In conclusion, the Children of Fallen Heroes Inaugural Badges and Books program was a huge success thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, the Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School staff, and the amazing children who participated. By promoting literacy, education, and respect, the program is making a real difference in the lives of our communities and our heroes' families. We thank all those involved and look forward to seeing the program grow and make an even bigger impact in the future. Children Of Fallen Heroes Inaugural Badges and Books program in Brunswick County NC - A big Thank You to our Amazing Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Willie McRae, Rebecca for coordinating this Event, Pam and Sheila, everyone at Jessie Mae Monroe elementary school, and all the Amazing children, this would not have been possible without all of your help .
