💔 Embracing Broken Hearts to Build Strong Bonds 💖
by Ken Wasley, President and Founder of Children of Fallen Heroes

Throughout my life's journey, I've faced heartache and loss, including the tragic deaths of my father, 13 members of the US Army Parachute Team in 1973, and my boy in 2020. These experiences have fueled my commitment to a greater cause. With a background in Salons and Spas, Tech Marketing Consulting, and Construction Development, I've established the Children of Fallen Heroes nonprofit in 2015.

Mission
At Children of Fallen Heroes, our mission is to honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation's fallen heroes, including active duty military, first responders, and their families, by providing comprehensive support to children, caregivers, and the wider community. We are committed to ensuring that no child of a fallen hero, foster child, caregiver, or community member feels unsupported or forgotten.
Activities
Some of our activities include indoor skydiving, pop-up STEM events, and programs focused on robotics and drone technology. The organization also facilitates agricultural and wildlife rescue activities, aviation experiences, equine programs, kids' golf, fishing, and scuba diving opportunities.
Community Outreach
The Children of Fallen Heroes Parachute Team performs world-class demonstrations at events across the United States, complemented by our pop-up STEM events. Through these community outreach events, we can effectively showcase the various programs and opportunities available to local communities, fostering a lasting impact and raising awareness for our cause across the country.
Looking Ahead
We have acquired 82 acres of land near Fort Liberty in Moore County, NC and will soon start the development of a 73,000 sqft Children of Fallen Heroes Retreat and STEM+Arts Education Center designed to be a place of solace and growth, providing a safe haven for the families of our fallen military, first responders, foster kids, caregivers, and a variety of community outreach programs.
