Honoring Heroes and Building Community: Oak Island's Unforgettable National Night Out

The 40th Anniversary of National Night Out in Oak Island was nothing short of spectacular, and it was made even more special by the presence of the Children of Fallen Heroes Foundation. This event, which has been celebrated across thousands of communities throughout the United States, took on a whole new level of meaning as we joined hands to honor and celebrate those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

National Night Out is not just about police-community partnerships; it's about the heart of our neighborhoods and the incredible bonds that tie us all together. It's a time when we come together to reaffirm our commitment to building safer, more caring places to live. And on that Friday evening in Oak Island, that commitment was palpable.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Oak Island Police Department and all the organizations and volunteers who made this event possible. Their dedication and hard work transformed Oak Island into a vibrant, united community for the evening.
